Property and Business Law Solicitor
I qualified as a conveyancing solicitor in 2006 and also as a litigator and private client specialist. I began my legal career with a training contract at Clifford Smith & Buchanan (CSB) in Nelson, Lancashire. I progressed to become a director at CSB Solicitors and Estate Agents, serving clients across the region until its acquisition by Guardian Wills and Probate Services (GWPS) on 1 September 2020.
In 2024, I launched my independent consultancy through Taylor Rose, focusing on both contentious and non-contentious land, property, and trust law. This page is my consultancy page. My practice covers a wide range of interconnected areas rooted in chancery and trust law, allowing me to apply insights across disciplines for better outcomes:
- Residential Conveyancing – Handling everything from terraced leasehold houses and high-value freehold/leasehold estates to retirement flats and new-build properties.
- Commercial Property – Advising on diverse transactions including leisure centres, climbing walls, motorbike and car dealerships, hotels, hardware stores, engineering firms, and manufacturing sites.
- Estate Planning & Private Client – Drafting wills, creating lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), probate applications, letters of intestacy, acting as professional executor or attorney.
- Property Litigation – Possession claims (especially commercial), adverse possession, trespass, licences to occupy, and related disputes.
I thrive on the variety this brings – moving fluidly between areas and spotting opportunities others might miss. As the proverb goes, I’m more fox than hedgehog: I like to take things I’ve learned in one area of law and apply them to another.
